October 2012 - Taco Bell holds second annual Graduate to Go Philly Workshop at LaSalle University.
Over 400 local High School Juniors and Seniors were invited to attend to speak
with representatives from a variety of Colleges, Universities, Tech and trade schools.
Motivational speakers touted the benefits of higher education, and 14 lucky students were
awarded scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. A total of $40,000 is scholarship
money was given away.
Summerwood is proud to present the Taco Bell Graduate to Go Philly Workshop, a one-day event that will provide 600 junior and senior high school students with the chance to learn about their post-high school educational opportunities and win one of 11 scholarships.

Summerwood has always supported the Taco Bell Graduate to Go campaign in a big way. This year we pledged to raise $1,500 per restaurant in 2012. Here are some examples of the stores' dedication and effort to promote the Graduate to Go Fund drive. Thanks to Bret Baevsky, the leader and driving force behind the effort this year.
In the restaurant field, support of the community means everything: The communities in which we are located support us by frequenting our restaurants and making it possible for us to employ over 2,000 people. Giving Back Food
We also provide food freebies and discounted catering services to local activities, events and charitable causes. Coupons for free food are great to hand out as door prizes, rewards for achievement, or just to say "thank you." Simply fill out this Donation Request Form and bring it to the General Manager of one of our restaurants near you. It will provide us with the name of your organization, a description of your event, the number of people you expect to serve, and an idea of what you'd like to serve them.
